Who publishes this site?

AliasCloak publishes and maintains this guide. AliasCloak is an end-to-end encrypted messenger for mailbox-style messages, real-time chat, and file transfer. This domain is not operated by HHS and is not an official government resource.

How we review healthcare-regulatory content

  • Prefer primary HHS guidance and regulations over marketing summaries.
  • Separate product security features from organizational compliance obligations.
  • State BAA uncertainty plainly instead of implying that encryption removes the issue.
  • Update product descriptions when AliasCloak’s actual implementation changes.
  • Avoid absolute claims such as “unhackable,” “100% anonymous,” or “automatically HIPAA compliant.”

What this site is not

This site is not legal advice, compliance consulting, a certification body, or a substitute for your organization’s HIPAA risk analysis. Healthcare organizations should review their own data flows, agreements, safeguards, workforce practices, retention obligations, incident response, and applicable state law.
